Layers in Photoshop

In Photoshop you can not work without a layer though there is a background where you can work but it is not good thing to work in a background. A layer is like a transparent page you can see every thing behind this till you put something on the layer like shape, stroke of brush or any image, text etc. Layers will help you to manipulate your works with a freedom. You can edit every individual layer. If you need to delete a layer you can do it and for adding a layer you can go to layer menu and then New-Layer or you can press SHIFT+CTRL+N or you can create a layer from layer panel to press create new layer button. In layer panel you will get variety of options such as Lock; Delete Layer; Layer Style; Group; Color Mood; Fill; Opacity; etc. All of these options are very much important in Photoshop to make a work attractive. In Photoshop we get raster layer, shape layer, text layer etc. Layer Blending option is a most important feature in Photoshop layer panel by which you can Photoshop various types of special effect. You can view a layer in different view mood and there are options for layer visibility and invisibility. More than that there is option for raster layer from the vector layer, Text layer & shape layer.
